Brood Hall offers event space for up to 250 people (depending on the configuration). We have tables and chairs on site that accommodate most party sizes. The Roost Lounge is an add on rental to our venue that provides a smaller gathering event space. With comfortable seating and an air hockey table, this is a great place to chill. The Roost Lounge makes a great area for a bridal party to hang out in, or a privacy area during any kind of event. It is also a fun area to set up game boards or to have an air hockey tournament.

We are an event and party venue located in historic downtown Pittsburg, TX. We are in the original Cavender Western Booth Company building once owned by the Cavender Family. This unique event space offers plenty of parking and is a great party rental space. Great for parties, events, reunions and celebrations of all sizes and we offer a full gourmet kitchen. This party space rental was renovated in 2019. Look for our hand painted building sign and for our Bleu Hen Crossing Logo on the top of our brick building at 234 Rusk Street.

Yes, we are a DIY party venue. We provide the party rental space, tables and chairs ( tables and chairs on site accommodate up to125 people), and you decorate, bring in your own food or hire a caterer. BYOB is allowed for certain types of parties, however liability release forms must be signed, TABC certified servers and security may be required depending on party size and type.

We host Pop Up Markets typically on the second Friday and Saturday of each month. We bring in small business owners to sell their wares in our event facility. Often times we will have a food vendor in the parking lot during our vendor markets. We also like to bring the fun, so watch for special events on our Pop Up Market days. The Bleu Hen Crossing brings together three owners from several decades. The Cavender family first owned this building, sold it to the Hoover family who sold it to us. We have used Bleu has a middle name for our pets, and as a business name in the past. It turns out that the BHC (Bleu Hen Crossing represents B (us) and H (Hoover) and C (Cavender)! The long story is we liked the name Bleu Hen and as we drove through East Texas we tried out Bleu Hen Plaza, Bleu Hen Square, Bleu Hen Place...calling out the names as we saw the various signs along the road. We passed by a sign that was Crossing and we loved it! Bleu Hen Crossing.
We fell in love with Pittsburg and its rich history the moment we stepped into the historic downtown area. We commissioned a local artist to paint a mural on the side of our building (On the Bunn's Flowers and Gifts side). This mural features references to Pittsburg and the surrounding area. Stop by and check it out, have a seat on the bench, take a selfie. It is an artistic mural that depicts many of Pittsburg's finest people and achievements.
