We are an event and party venue located in historic downtown Pittsburg, TX.  We are in the original Cavender Western Booth Company building once owned by the Cavender Family. This unique event space offers plenty of parking and is a great party rental space.  Great for parties, events, reunions and celebrations of all sizes and we offer a full gourmet kitchen.  This party space rental was renovated in 2019.  Look for our hand painted building sign and for our Bleu Hen Crossing Logo on the top of our brick building at 234 Rusk Street.

Yes, we have plenty of event space for a small to mid-size wedding with accommodations up to 85ish people.  We are happy to work with you to make your dream day a reality.  We work with every size budget and our venue can accommodate your plans for food, beverage, service and reception.

Yes, we are a DIY party venue.  We provide the party rental space, tables and chairs ( tables and chairs on site accommodate up to 100 people), and you decorate, bring in your own food or hire a caterer.   BYOB is allowed for certain types of parties, however liability release forms must be signed, TABC certified servers and security may be required depending on party size and type.

Absolutely, we even have special toddler chairs (30) and three child size picnic tables on hand for your party.  We have great rates for small afternoon parties.  Bring your cake, decor and your little one for a great afternoon children's party.

Yes, our event space is great for teaching a class, bringing in a presenter, paint & sip, or a production.  Our space is often used for craft classes, chamber events, music classes and rehearsals, meet & greet...and that is just a few of the many uses this Pittsburg event facility can accommodate.  Our party venue is very flexible and multi-functional with various size areas for gatherings.  We have tables, chairs, stage, smart tv, wi-fi and full kitchen on site.

 The Bleu Hen Crossing brings together three owners from several decades.  The Cavender family first owned this building, sold it to the Hoover family who sold it to us. We have used Bleu has a middle name for our pets, and as a business name in the past.  It turns out that the BHC (Bleu Hen Crossing represents B (us) and H (Hoover) and C (Cavender)!     The long story is we liked the name Bleu Hen and as we drove through East Texas we tried out Bleu Hen Plaza, Bleu Hen Square, Bleu Hen Place...calling out the names as we saw the various signs along the road.  We passed by a sign that was Crossing and we loved it!  Bleu Hen Crossing. 

We fell in love with Pittsburg and its rich history the moment we stepped into the historic downtown area.  We commissioned a local artist to paint a mural on the side of our building (On the Bunn's Flowers and Gifts side).  This mural features references to Pittsburg and the surrounding area.  Stop by and check it out, have a seat on the bench, take a selfie.  It is an artistic mural that depicts many of Pittsburg's finest people and achievements.
